Customer feedback is critical

For more than twenty years we have had the pleasure of working with a wide variety of industrial facilities.  Customer feedback shapes our way of doing business and is an intregral part of our process.  Here are a few words from some of our customers.  If needed, we can also supply a more formal list of references.

"Following up on our conversation over the phone yesterday. Attached is a graph which shows the Crude 2 fin fan (E-5112, air vs. cooling kerosene) performance during the summer of 2005. The graphs compare actual performance to the original design by tracking the overall heat transfer coefficient, U in Btu/hr*sqft*F (Uactual/Udesign vs. time). During the summer of 2005 we cleaned the fin fans by three difference methods. • May 15: We had one of your competitors in Anchorage clean our fans. The results were not great. • June 15: Our on-site contractor washed the fin fans with fire water only. NO impact on cooling. • August 20: Fin Foam cleaned the fans. The results were very good. The graph shows the rate of decline in fin fan performance over time as well as how effective each of the three methods was at cleaning. Far and away the best results were achieved with Fin Foam in August. Obviously achieving a Uact / Udes of 1 is ideal. We achieved 80% of design in August with Fin Foam, which I believe is as good as we can get given the age of the fans and amount of mineral build up on the fins from years of washing. Please feel free to use my name as a customer reference as I feel that you guys have done an outstanding job for us. The data speaks for itself. I was also impressed by the level of professionalism and awareness for our safety culture by both you and your staff. I would recommend your services to anyone considering cleaning fin fans. "

"We have exclusively used FINFOAM to clean our Air Cooled Heat Exchangers for the past four years. They have always been flexible to meet our needs and promptly get the job completed to our satisfaction. Operations see FINFOAM’s results averaging a 10% increase in delta T. FINFOAM takes safety seriously as well. We have never had a safety issue. I would strongly recommend them to anyone that has needs as we do in cleaning our Fin Fan Exchangers. "

"Over the past three years I have used Fin Foam to clean the fin fans through-out our refinery. Fin Foam has come to the facility and completed their work in expedient, professional, and safe manner. They have never refused to go that extra mile when asked to do so. I am very pleased and will continue to use their services in the future. "

"If you think that your fin fans are really dirty and are in need of more than just a water wash, I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND using a company by the name of FinFoam to help clean your fin fans. Two other refineries have both used FinFoam in the past, and have seen the same GREAT results at the Coker. (This type of wash is a Coker best practice due to the severe operating environment that the Coker creates.) FinFoam is the company that has shown us the best results, time and time again. "

"John, I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank you and your folks for the good job they did in cleaning our Fin Fans. A total of 310 fans were cleaned and all the work was done safely and without the slightest incident. Since our fans were pretty dirty prior to cleaning, we saw a substantial benefit from the work you did. In fact, our calculations show that the cleaning paid out in less than a month! Please pass along our thanks once again to Chad and the rest of the crew for the great work they did."

"I wanted to pass on this information as a lesson learned. If you think that your fin fans are really dirty, and are in need of more than just a water wash, I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND using a company by the name of Fin Foam to help clean your fin fans. Multiple locations have used Fin Foam in the past, and we have seen the same GREAT results at the Coker. (This type of finfan chemical wash is a Coker best practice as a result of the severe operating environment that the Coker creates.) Fin Foam is the company that has shown us the best results, time and time again. "

"FinFoam worked great. The process data showed a great improvement in the performance in the fans. I had calculated that the savings from process improvements paid out the cost of the chemical cleaning in approximately two weeks. Fin Foam was a top notch company as far as safety and performance."

"We had a project to clean all the Malongo Aerial Cooler on Fox, Delta, Hotel and Terminal. We also most recently cleaned them on Takula ALP. We used a company from Prairieville Louisiana called Global Process Diagnostics Inc. alternatively (FINFOAM) Results were good. This depended upon the soak time to the cleaning agent and availability of the fans. Overall we got a 10 to 25 degree F delta T increase. Some areas experience a larger delta T increase as the more dirt and crude removed, the higher the delta T increase. Overall, Operations was quite satisfied with the cleaning and want to make it a once every two year event. One of the problems we had as clean water offshore for the mixture and rinsing. You should not have that problem there. The chemical used is a bio-degradable product and when finished cleaning can be drained into the storm water drain system. When I was there, I had the fin fan maintenance and I would recommend doing this there. I think with the sand and dust situation you have, your results would be more substantial. Call me if you have any questions but below is the contact information if you want to discuss with the Contractor in more detail. "

"The FinFoam cleaning worked very well it our plant. The foam was able to reach between the tubes very well. As for cost it was more expensive to stage the fans than it was to wash them. The crews saw as much as 25 - 30 degrees. We are planning another wash in May of this year. "
